1958 Alfred Hendricks Coffee-Bar Table With Figurative Tiles Tray

An iconic rare piece of furniture coffee, bar table designed in the end of the fifties by the Belgium Modern Architect Alfred Hendrickx for Belform. The table is made in a solid wood frame and part veneer, including an internal bar or magazine holder with on top a tray with ceramic glazed tiles, which can slide from left to right. The tray with figurative painting on the tiles is a work made by the Belgian ceramist Theo Melens, who was an important artist in Belgian ceramics. Melens designed ceramic figures for Belform from 1957 till 1958, all limited and piece-uniques. This unique bar table is in a very good vintage condition.
