The original hand laid mosaic pattern was scanned and the image printed onto solid eucalyptus board before a melamine coating was applied to the top surface. This gives heat resistance to approximately 140 degrees Celsius or 284 Fahrenheit. Dark green baize from Italy was added to the reverse side.This design was fun to do and hopefully some of that joy comes across in the Harlequin placemat. Each one has a signature registered trademark so you can be assured of owning the authentic placemat designed in the Cotswolds and made in small batches in England.
