French porcelain tray advertising Besserat de Bellefon champagne doubles as a hand-painted 1965 Christmas card to Mr. and Mrs. Sam Gruber from the Bordeaux vintner and eminent 20th century wine writer Alexis Lichine. Marked "Porcelain de Couleuvres France Fondee en 1789." A wonderful piece of wine history.
