Maidda in ducal gray marble, designed in 2020 by the designers Mimma Occino and Margherita Alioto, was born from the desire to bring on our tables an object from the dual function. It consists of a sliding laser-engraved beech wood cutting board, to be able to cut the bread or cured meats and a marble container, from the brushed ribbed extreme striped texture, which acts as a carriage and collect crumbs. The design recalls the Maidda of the Sicilian tradition, an object that occupied the center of the domestic scene, whose hopper form, allowed the preparation of bread and became a macaroni container for a collective meal during the harvest and harvest period. A modern key reward of an unmistakable ritual, an invitation to return to the essence of things through daily gestures such as that of food sharing. The trays with cutting Maidda by Margherita Alioto and Mimma Occino are made in Italy. Signed by Maker
