There’s something unexpectedly compelling about this tray. At first glance, it’s a minimalist, stone-washed aluminum piece built for service—ideal for keeping oysters, shellfish, or caviar chilled on a bed of ice. But flip it over, and there’s more: a short poem etched into the underside of the base, only visible when lifted. A quiet surprise for those paying attention. This oyster serving tray was introduced as part of KnIndustrie’s Storm series during Milan Design Week and was developed in collaboration with Italian artist Ivan Tresoldi. While its surface does the practical work of keeping food cool at the table, the engraved detail invites a moment of pause—an understated reminder that objects can carry meaning beyond their function. With a rotating base that makes self-service easy and a raw, elemental finish that adds character to any table, the Storm Girevole is as suited for special occasions as it is for thoughtful everyday use.
