Sepia tray by HomefolksDimensions: D 31.5 x W 115 x H 3.5 cm Materials: Cremo Delicato marble.A sculptural tray with spectacular dimensions, Sepia is inspired by cuttlebones scattered on the beach at low tide. Bold and minimal, its distinctive and shallow shape hides a soft crease carved on the underside.Sepia is made and hand-finished in Pietrasanta, Italy. It is crafted from Cremo Delicato, an exceptional and rare locally quarried marble, presenting a delicate veining ranging from cool grey to caramel, with subtle inclusions on its bright, milky surface. This product is thoroughly produced by master artisans one piece at a time. Due to its nature, it can vary in colour, veining and other features. These are what make each piece unique.London-based French duo Zoe Imber and Romain Parize founded Homefolks in 2020. Led by a narrative approach to design, the studio developed a cross-disciplinary practice that blurs the boundaries between design and art.Homefolks sculptural objects and furniture play with contrasts, scales and balance in forms with a strong emphasis on material. The collection is carefully made using traditional savoir faire. Overtime, Homefolks proudly gathered a network of skilled artisans in England, France, and Italy who all share the studio’s ethos and commitment to quality. Each object presents unique variations reflecting its artisanal nature and the gesture of the maker.Homefolks strives to create enduring objects of exceptional quality whilst writing their story in a conscious way, by adopting a small scale, made to order production and using sustainably sourced materials.
