Spiral Serving Tray - Contemporary Art Deco A simply magnificent serving tray from the Boucher & Co Collection handmade by the master craftsmen in the Toowoomba workrooms in Australia. These two, brought expertly together are the ultimate in sophisticated luxury’.Created in a slip-match of Macassar Ebony with an inlaid spiral of Shagreen highlighted with very fine inlaid solid black Ebony lines. Custom made, solid brass, nickel silver handles fit seamlessly into each end of the tray. The spiral pattern has been created by carefully cutting twenty-four consecutive leaves of Macassar Ebony then opened out like a fan to create what is known as a spiral slip match. The resulting grain movement translates to an impressive and rarely seen spiralling pattern.The timber work is protected with a very durable clear satin lacquer. Underneath the tray is a protective leather pad with intricately folded edges. Signed and engraved with the registered number.Our shagreen is sourced from sustainably grown stingray meat produced for the restaurant industry. What were once just the discarded skins are now carefully quality assessed, with only the top 10% selected for tanning in to leather and then used in creating this special serving tray.“We all love entertaining and presenting our guests with delicious G&Ts becomes an effortless artform with these magnificent trays.
