The Kintsugi Glass from Seletti borrows its name from kintsugi, the Japanese practice of repairing broken objects with gold, and applies the idea to a faceted glass tumbler. Designed by Marcantonio, the cut-crystal pattern across the surface is interrupted by gold lines running at angles, as though the piece had cracked along its facets and been rejoined. The combination of crystal-cut texture and gold detailing gives the glass a layered quality, with light catching the facets and the metallic lines differently.
