This beautiful Thai Celadon Jardiniere with heavy relief Bamboo pattern, in the English Jade Color - is from one of the last 2 Celadon makers in the mountains of Chiang Mai Thailand. Thai Celadonware is made of stoneware which is much heavier than ceramic. The glaze, English Jade, is more of an olive color, and is one of the two colors made in Thailand (the other being the more prevalent Celadon green). The glaze appears to be more of a wash of color with the classic crackle finish with deep coloration in the relief of the design. Large enough to stand alone and heavy enough to support a large floral design or display of branches. Dimensions: 10” tall, 10.5” wide, 5.75” opening.
