Ampla 03 Stoneware Clay Vase by SOIO StudioDimensions: Ø 30 x H 20 cmMaterials: Stoneware clay, matte glaze.SOIO Studio is a design studio based in Dubai creating sculptural collectible pieces. Founded by a Polish self-taught designer and ceramicist Klaudia Domaradzka, the studio explores the relationship between objects and the space around them. Each piece is designed to live quietly in an interior, bringing a sense of presence. The forms draw inspiration from vintage objects and are reinterpreted through contemporary materials and handcrafted processes. Ceramics remain central to the studio’s practice. Pieces are made in small batches from high-fired stoneware clay. The studio's Ampla Collection draws its name and language from vintage pendant lamps known in Poland as amplas — once a signature of elegance in 1920s and 1970s interiors. Wide, shallow, suspended on metal chains to bear the weight of glass or alabaster, the form is at once heavy and soft. The word also echoes ampulla, the small vessel once used to hold sacred oils. The Ampla Collection translates these forms into a series of sculptural stoneware pieces that move between vase and space for treasures. Each piece is shaped individually by hand, resulting in subtle variations and the unrepeatable character of work made one at a time.SOIO Studio works with private collectors, interior designers and hospitality spaces seeking objects that bring character and subtle depth to an interior.About the designer:Klaudia's path to ceramics begins in childhood. At nine, she spent every Tuesday and Thursday in a small ceramics studio at a cultural house in Poland. The practice returned four years ago, when her mother brought her to a class one weekend. She felt like she reconnected with herself and has been practicing since.“At first I experimented a lot. I tried different techniques, different styles, took classes and then left them because I realized I needed the process to stay intuitive and experimental. Like when I was nine years old and all I did was play with clay.”The shift came with coiling — working at scale, building larger forms by hand. An approach she describes as coming home.Klaudia lives by the belief that good design is more than function: it should help us feel grounded, present, and connected to the now. She describes ceramics as a slow ritual — the wet, cold material under her fingers, the earthy smell, the endless possibility. The practice softened her, slowed her, and reconnected her with a younger version of herself who loved creating.
