The Anemone's organic, sinuous form, a ceramic vessel that seems to have grown rather than been made, references the sea anemone in a cream matte glaze. Hand-shaped in Tuscany in collaboration with Ceramiche Ceccarelli, a family workshop whose moulds carry three generations of knowledge. The spiral textural relief runs the full height of the piece, giving it a tactile quality that photographs only partially capture. Each piece shows the individual marks of the hand and the kiln, variations in glaze, surface texture, and form that cannot be standardised.No two are identical in texture, glaze distribution, or finish.
