A sculptural design evoking totemic volumes from wild, faraway lands, this bright vase belongs to the Australe series of one-off pieces pooled together by an ancestral feel. The deliberately unfinished, scratchy texture reinforces this bond with the Earth, obtained by working with a mixture of light terracottas. a sequence of six piled circles is fitted to the cylindrical body and together reveal the design's contemporary soul.
