Blue and brown Heiki vase, Pia WüstenbergDimensions: D 20-22 x H 32-40Materials: glass, wood, metal wireAvailable in other colors.Inspired by a simple fix on an old sauna ladle handle, fixed with wire and outright everyday genius. Heiki (named after the man who invented the fix) are soft and bulbous vases, with a unique wooden handle, fixed onto the glass after it has cooled down. Heiki are blown without a mould: their outer rim is originally the inside of the glass bubble, thus their round and soft edges, characteristic of this artistic process.Handmade in Europe: freehand blown glass (England), handcrafted wood (Finland), brass wire (Germany). The materials then come to our warehouse in North Germany where they are fitted and assembled.Pia Wüstenberg, UtopiaPia Wüstenberg is a creative with a passion for materials and craft.
