This vase is part of the Design Collection and was mouth-blown in Murano using the “incalmo” technique, consisting in joining two glass pieces of different colors, in this case yellow and tinted, while they're still hot to obtain a single blown piece with two different colors. The result is a striking shape with a yellow glass sphere covered with a mosaic made of 18 kt gold foil tesserae and transparent turquoise glazes that creates a green color with turquoise reflections. With its delicate and minimal design, this simple yet sophisticated vase lies between handicraft and pure art.
