Composizioni Faience 19 Sculpture Vase

Two elements recalling medieval goblets are interlocked in this singular sculpture, creating a symmetrical body with alternating midnight blue-glazed majolica and bisque terracotta pieces. Once the two elements are detached, the design discloses its functional potential going beyond the simply decorative purpose. A superb example of handcrafted ceramic from Faenza, this piece from the Composizioni Collection was also published in a book by Viola Emaldi in 2016.
