As part of the exhibition vases and vessels curated by Gianluca Longo at David Gill Gallery, Tino Seubert presented a new edition of Narcissus Vases made from Italian Terrazzo Rosa Perlino and Rosso Levante, polished stainless steel and smoked Parsol glass. The first edition was created in 2012 for 2Spoons on the occasion of Art Berlin Contemporary at the Henselmann-Tower, which marks the gateway to Karl-Marx-Allee - Berlin's communist boulevard. The pieces were inspired by the socialist GDR architecture of the exhibition venue. Geometric forms are composed to create elaborate objects using terrazzo and mirrored glass. Their name Narcissus refers to the partly reflective and partly transparent surface of the glass. The viewer is able to look inside the vases, where the flowers are reflected and multiplied many times.
