Vase of my own design inspired by Rothko's bitonal paintings.Executed in Murano with the very difficult working technique called “a piera.”This in particular is made "senza vetro" where the mosaic is rolled over itself without using a blob of glass as support shoulder. This technique allows to keep the colors bright and the details sharp. This design combines the concept of the "a canne" of Gio Ponti and the "pezzati" of Fulvio Bianconi.Vase composed with a mosaic alternating effetre Murano Canes of deep amethyst and vivid yellow color with small bright isolated red tesserae. The play of colors that the light makes through the different colors of the glass is extraordinary, making it a unique piece.
