Gracious Style

The world-famous and wondrous blossoming of Japanese cherry trees inspired the design of this masterpiece of interior decoration. Illuminated with gold and highlighted with enamel, applied by hand, cherry blossoms symbolize the ephemeral character of beauty and life, inviting one to marvel at the present moment. In a numbered edition in clear or (Ltd Edition 88 Pcs) (lucky number in Asia) for the amber version, this vase captures the ornamental power of this iconic flower. Trained as a jeweler at the Ecole des Arts Decoratifs in Paris in the late 1880's, Rene Lalique gained recognition as an independent designer for some of the era's great jewelry houses including Cartier and Boucheron. Eventually, he turned to glassmaking, and his techniques were a triumph for the Art Deco movement. Every piece of Lalique is finely detailed and produced by hand in Alsace, France.
