Galatea Head Vase

This anthropomorphic vase is made entirely by hand and painted in Mauve and Mud colors. The piece is inspired by ancient Sicilian legends of love and revenge between a Moor and a Maiden. The monochromatic matte color patterning and the mud rich in natural pigments provide intense color depth. Only the eyes are glazed so they stand out, emphasizing the beauty of the gaze.
