Bottle shaped vase in white and black stoneware clay with porcelain, heavy volcanic textured glaze. There is the option of three different colour ways for commission.The work is hand built using a combination of stoneware black and buff clays, volcanic slips are added under glaze. Multiple firings of glaze and porcelain create a cracked surface. Imperfections are a key component of my work and the multiple firings push each piece to it’s limits. I explore and encourage, drips, cracks and blisters evoking raw unfinished fragile textures. Please be advised that each edition of the piece is produced uniquely by hand, due to the randomness of the mark making the end result may differ from the image shown.Due to the fragility of the work, to avoid the need to return I send photographs of the commissioned piece for approval before shipping.When unpacking this item please be aware that the exterior finish is fragile. Please do not 'roll' the item while unpacking. My work is not designed to hold water, due to the nature of the glazes the piece may sweat over time.
