Hydro Vase, Brass

Inspired by ancient Greek vases, designer Sofie Østerby beautifully reinterpreted the ceramic vessel archetype as a solid brass object. Modern and distinctive, the Hydro Vase creates a perfect equilibrium between the familiar shape of earthenware artifacts and the solidity of brass. To produce this vase, Fredericia Furniture collaborates with a Portuguese workshop who still crafts with traditional casting methods that have been used in the past to make traditional armor. The solid brass has an oxidized surface that gives the material an almost black color. Over time and with use, the vase will develop a charming patina to infuse your home décor with more character. Completely waterproof, the Fredericia Hydro Vase, Brass is perfect for fresh flowers. To reduce the risk of water spots, keep the exterior dry. This handcrafted vase is also available in a mouth-blown glass version.
