This stoneware vessel was designed by renowned Texas artist Ishmael Soto. It features tactile qualities in a masterfully thrown and altered piece of pottery. Soto has been working with a variety of materials since the early 1950s and has consistently shown a singular mastery over them all. His ceramic pieces are varied and much sought after. This piece has a hand written signature under the base.
