Isolated N. 26 Stoneware Vase

The "Isolated" series by Canoa Lab is comprised of reworked and redesigned forms and shapes from ancient Mediterranean vases. Each piece is designed in isolation and with larger dimensions, using the coiling technique. In some of these vases, metal is used, by employing precious metalworking techniques, such as wax-modelling and lost-wax casting. All of the pieces in this series are made of stoneware with grog from Manises (Valencia), and self-formulated glazes. The metal pieces are made of cast brass. The stoneware vase in handmade to order by the Valencia-based studio, Canoa Lab.
