Italian Murano Bullicante Glass Vase Attributed To Barovier & Toso, 1930s

1st Dibs

$1,250

A 1930s Italian glass vase attributed to Barovier & Toso, crafted  in the bullicante technique. Tall and flared in form, the vase is animated by suspended air bubbles encased within clear glass, rising rhythmically through the body. A softly scalloped rim and subtly undulating profile lend a gentle sense of movement. The glass is thick and luminous, its clarity amplified by the internal pattern of bubbles that catch and diffuse light from every angle.Sold and priced individually. The Barovier dynasty traces its roots to 1295, when Jacobello Barovier, a master glassblower, began transforming molten sand and minerals into incandescent works of art. For centuries, the family maintained its legacy, crafting exquisite glass pieces until the mid-20th century, when it merged with another renowned glassworks to become Barovier & Toso. This evolution reflects a commitment to artistry and tradition that endures to this day.Condition: Great vintage condition.
