Jacey Metallic Vase

Please touch! Our Jacey textured vases look for all the world like metal, but that’s the beauty of their unique finishing technique. We transformed a simple ceramic vase into a textured silver vase using a method known as vacuum plating. In vacuum plating, a metal is heated in a vacuum chamber until it evaporates, condenses, and bonds to the surface of a substrate (in this case, ceramic), producing the look of solid metal. It may be a faux finish in the strictest sense, but Jacey is a genuine object d’art.
