Mint Green Chandigarh Iii Vase By Paolo Giordano For I-And-I Collection

chandigarh is a collection of city-inspired vases designed by le corbusier, who imagined and created it from scratch in india. The city has a personal meaning for me, i would say sentimental because it was one of my first photographic assignments in india in the 90s and the first step for what would later become the adventure of i + i collection. the vases are made of exposed concrete, colored with the oxides that give the material pastel and chalky tones. They are small structures, small vibrant and poetic architectures, they can be used as vases, but also left bare as they are. A color can mark the thicknesses by emphasizing the contours. Simple signs like an imaginary alphabet. Evocative structures revealing a world of unlikely geometries. made in italy labeled by maker
