Moro

Moro is a metal vase.‎The Sicilian art smith and designer Antonino Sciortino draws his designs from his own memories or finds inspiration in the rich history of his native region.‎ Concurrently, Sciortino is always seeking a new touch to intrigue the user.‎“In the Moro vases, the use of sheet steel finished with an old and dark patina (hence the name) lifts the simple form to an ode to brutalism.‎ The dark patina attracts without distracting attention from the shape, the true protagonist of my designs.‎”The hands of the Milan (Italy)-based designed Antonino Sciortino bring metal to life.‎ Objects shaped from soft iron create a sculpture-like aura.‎ The handcrafted finish emphasizes the soul we recognize in each object.‎ Can be perfectly integrated in a wide range of interior spaces because of their pure forms and the vintage look and finish.‎
