The New Bone Vase, 24K Gold from Seletti takes the shape of a porcelain pitcher, decorated with floral motifs and marked with gold seams that reference kintsugi, the Japanese practice of repairing broken ceramics with gold. Made from new bone china with real 24-karat gold detailing, the piece has two handles set on either side of the body. Designed by Marcantonio, the gold lines cut directly through the floral decoration, giving the impression that the pattern itself had been broken and rejoined along with the porcelain.
