Oinochoe Perla N Stoneware Vase

Drawing its inspiration from utilitarian ceramics, this series goes back to the origin of certain objects that were commonplace in Greek and Roman banquets: oenochoes, skyphoi and lingulae are objects that remind us of ancient times and our relationship with food and drink. These pieces combine different ceramic-making techniques, such as plaster casting, coiling technique, slabs, wax-modelling and lost-wax casting. All of the pieces in this series are made of stoneware with grog from Manises (Valencia), and self-formulated glazes. The stoneware vase in handmade to order by the Valencia-based studio, Canoa Lab.
