For its 'Optical' vase, Italian brand Nuove Forme looked to articles from its 'Bathrooms' archive, inspired by 1960s and 1970s American culture aesthetics. As such, the vase is distinguished by a hand applied coloured glaze that takes shape in the form of pattern on its external surface, while the vase's unique texture is the result of two firings and a cold applied black patina.
