Drawing on a long Chinese tradition of monochrome ceramics, this tall gooseneck vase is glazed in vibrant persimmon-orange glaze. The vase features a rounded, globular body and a narrow cylindrical neck, a classic form known as 'tianqiuping' or 'celestial ball vase.' Sculpted by contemporary ceramists in Zhejiang province, the large vase reinterprets this traditional shape with clean lines and an understated sculptural presence.
