The Uovo, Italian for egg, is a hand-blown crystal vase in pale pink whose gently ovoid form and slightly flattened top are designed for small floral arrangements: a single bud, a folded stem, a sprig. The pink crystal has a warm translucency that gives the egg-form a luminous, jewel-like quality. Made in a Tuscan glasshouse using an original hand-blowing technique active since 1945. Each piece carries the natural variations in colour and subtle surface detail.
