This is just a great original piece. One of two original rare heliogravures from the original folio by junghaendel titled "aegyptian". The best description I have found of the folio reads: "25 large-format plates in heliogravure on china mounted to vellum sheets, printed title and publisher's text below image, each with text page, in original canvas portfolio (soiled and traces of use). Cosmos, berlin/cairo 1893. This publication's very attractive plates show architecture, monuments and landscapes of egypt which were taken by the architect max junghaendel, berlin. The prints are of a very fine tonal quality, which attains a much more atmospheric image than photographic prints could. ". This is one of the rare plates. A wonderful image of the temple in medina. Image measures 11 x 14 1/4 inches on complete vellum sheet measuring 17 1/4 x 21 1/2 inches. Image itself is in outstanding condition. The margins show some very minor soiling but all in all a very good example. One small water stain lower right corner. Print is unframed. I have found the complete folio for sale on the internet for more than $5000. A great opportunity to get one of these rare prints for a lot less.
