A very unique painting depicting the scene in 20:10, in which Moses strikes the rock to produce water but does not give God the credit – causing him to not be allowed to enter "The Promised Land." The old silver gilt oval frame has someone worming; a consultant at the Denver Art Museum examined and cleaned the painting and believes it had been the work of several artists with touching up or changes on more than one occasion. The painting and frame could date anywhere between from the mid-1700s to the mid-1800s. Condition: Good Height: 35.5" Width: 28" On Approval (WM) (1571)
