William Krullaars -Winter Solitude by the Creek Landscape - oil painting-c1900s oil painting on board -signed circa 1900/20s frame size 16 x 14" board size 10 x 8" Artist Biography Born in Rotterdam, Holland on July 27, 1878. Krullaars studied at the Rotterdam Academy of Art. He immigrated to Chicago in the late 1880s. He painted watercolors and oils while working at an art store on Wabash Avenue. In the early 1920s he lived in Santa Cruz, CA. For many years one of his paintings hung in the Hotel Casa del Rey there. He died in Chicago on July 31, 1945. Exh: AIC, 1935.
