1920’s Spindled Iron Spanish Window Grid With Faces

Chairish

$1,800

What a truly great piece this is! This window grid came from an old place in Pasadena, California. It has such character and age to it featuring two faces looking toward each other and spindle iron with Spanish detailing. I am not sure exactly what type of metal was used but it has a copper color in some areas and a wonderful patina. The whole diameter is about 27 inches wide from mounting bracket to mounting bracket. The diameter of the circle is about 24 inches. I am not sure if it’s true age but I do believe it could be from the 1920s to 1930s. We have two available for purchase I included a photo of the second identical window grid however, there is some damage on their ears. If you look closely in the picture you can see that it is rusted and the ears are turned in the opposite direction. I do believe that these faces could be elves of some sort by looking at the curl on the top of their head and their long noses. This would be a truly remarkable piece for your home if you are looking to add some character.
