Circa 1933 A Century Of Progress World's Fair landscape painting chosen to represent the Greenwich Village Artist Colony (see reverse). Artist: Alvin G. Stupe of Chicago (1878-1954). Beautifully painted landscape of the DesPlaines River in Fall/Winter. Original gilt wood frame. Recently professionally cleaned & lacquered, revealing layers of finely executed detail and color depth.. Labels preserved with plexiglass on the reverse. With its smaller size & gorgeously realized detail, this would make a fantastic addition to an art wall!
