Serene small watercolor painting by Ruth Fulda (Wacker) depicting a forest with large tree and boulder rocks in the foreground with the steeple of a building in the far clearing. On off-white heavy art paper, unsigned, likely dating to the 1930s-1940s, from a portfolio of works obtained from her estate. Presented in a brand new acid free white mat that will fit any 9" x 12" frame of your choice. The mat opening area is 6" x 9". Ruth Fulda Wacker was a 20th C. American painter, with a broad body of work including still life, portraiture, landscape, and wildlife subjects. She often worked with and alongside her much better-known artist uncle, Carl Rungius, who is particularly known for his drypoint etchings of wildlife.
