I would call this image Bau-Haus but it’s a bit quirkier than that. Paul Colin mostly famous for his posters designed for Josephine Baker; a former lover and friend of his; this post war poster really indicates a design shift away from deco. It’s an important original stone litho in 9.5/10 condition, and exceptionally well supported and framed. The poster is mounted to linen. Possible repairs but I cannot detect them. For the French home design expo, we see here an engineer, a painter, a chef, and possibly a consumer ? Powerful at this huge scale. Modern and masculine. A true survivor at this age; it was lovingly mounted to linen and preserved. Thanks,
