This is a RARE beauty! This is a Christian Dior fashion design that was the cover art for a French magazine that dates to 1949. It is NOT a resent reproduction print. The Mid-Century design was for a daywear dress created by the iconic Dior. Magazine cover art by iconic designers is highly collectible and difficult to find in good condition with the passage of time as it is highly susceptible to rips, stains, and discolorations. Thus, this print is RARE. It has wonderful rich color and showcases a woman seated on a lush divan wearing a full skirted, cinched waist daydress. Note her gloves and sculpted hat! She is poised and elegant in her Dior creation, ready for her visitor. Mode & Traveaux was a magazine that featured practical advice for women on fashion, travel, beauty and home. The image is signed by its illustrator, Fernando BOSC, a French fashion illustrator who produced couture illustrations during the 1940s and 1950s for leading French fashion houses such as Dior, Balenciaga, Jacques Heim, Lucien Lelong, etc. The print is in clean excellent condtion.
