We purchased it in Paris from a vendor who specializes in original fashion drawings. This was a lucky find for us as it is a rarity! It is a gouache and pen and ink drawing done on thick paper stock. Note the artistic styling of the dress with its long slender black silhouette bodice and deep v-neck styling. The high neck ruched silver design adds texture and interest and the open bollero style wrap adds the finishing touch. Its textured gouache is thick with a sheen and hint of sparkle. You can feel the sumptuous lush texture of the fabric. The design is sleek and chic! The design is timeless and is perfect for today's fashionista or vintage clothing collector. It is signed by the fashion designer, Jean Pierre Fleurimon, who today is best known for his makeup and beauty cosmetics salon in Paris but whose early career focused on fashion design.
