A stunning gold-leafed offset lithograph, print, of "Portrait of Said Khan" after 17th century Indian painting. Said Khan seated on a bay horse which capers in the manner of the coursiers of King Louis XIV. At the bottom of the lithograph, one reads in the print: "Work of Bitchitr Rai". Comes from a rare first limited edition art folio published by Les Editions du Chene in Paris, France in 1950. Printed on one side. Hand tipped-in on a board of heavy paper. Numbered "III" at the lower right corner of the board. Gold-leafed and very detailed. Superb quality, rich colors. Excellent condition - minor age wear on edges of the board, never framed. Image 8.8"W x 12.65"H - the same as the original artwork. The original 17th century Indian portrait of Said Khan is 8.8"W x 12.6"H, Collection J. Pozzi.
