Jules Rene Herve (1887-1981) Born in France. Hervé has always sought to master the technical secrets of art and painted with a marvelous harmony of color and light. As depicted here, as in several of his works he shows the magnificent Notre Dame Cathedral with school children in the foreground. Frame is wood hand carved with gold leaf.
