Original offset lithograph after an earlier painting by Pablo Picasso from the monograph "La Guerre et La Paix" (War and Peace), printed by Imprimerie du Lion and published by Éditions Cercle d'Art in 1954. Print size: 14 x 31 inches; three folds as issued. Mint condition new old stock from our complete copy of "La Guerre et La Paix". Pablo Picasso (1881–1973) was a Spanish-born painter, sculptor, and printmaker who spent most of his adult life in France. He is considered to be one of the most influential artists of the 20th century, best known for, along with Georges Braque, founding the Cubist movement. In addition to Cubism, he also executed works in Neoclassicism and Surrealism. His early works are famously known as the "Blue Period" and "Rose Period". Over a career spanning nearly 80 years, he produced more than 20,000 artworks, making him one of the most prolific artist ever.
