Janzten, a well known name in fashionable high quality women's swimwear, created popular designs for over a century. Janzten was worn by women who wanted comfortable, elegant styles for the beach, the pool or for travel. And, Rene Gruau, one of the leading fashion illustrators of the mid-century years, created highly stylized advertisement images to promote the line. Gruau was known for his highly stylized graphic images with strong color and whimsy appeal. His work is highly recognizeable with his signature "g" iniitial. Today, his designs are shown in galleries and museums worldwide and sold at international auction houses. They are desirable and collectible and have become increasingly more difficult to find in pristine condition with the passage of time. This is the first time we have this print!
