A vintage reproduction print of antique Ukiyo-e woodblock print by Utagawa Hiroshige, from his series, "The Fifty-Three Stations of the Tōkaidō Road". Arrival at the Twelfth Station: Numazu. It is the beginning of the night; the moon appears behind the trees. Three pilgrim men, a woman and a child hurry to arrive at the station. The man has on his back a box and a large red mask that he is going to offer to the temple of Kompira on the island of Shikoku. This reproduction print is not a woodblock reproduction, but offset, full-color print. Detailed. Comes from a rare art folio published by Editions du Credit Lyonnais in Paris, France, in 1960. Printed in France, on one side of high-quality heavy paper. Blank back, numbered on the back: XIII. Nearly excellent condition - minor edge wear, it was pinned in the past, two tiny holes very close to the top corners were flattened and are barely visible, never framed.
