In the title block: "The Great Bridge of Third Avenue", which spans the Kamo River. In the distance the hills and Mount Higashi, the roofs of houses and temples, and on the right the elegant silhouette of the Yasaka Pagoda. On the left, on the bridge, we see the lord's palaquin and on the right, among the passers-by, a courtesan protected by a parasol carried by her servant and a samurai in ceremonial costume.
