A gorgeous American Impressionist nude study depicting a brunette woman laying on a red blanket with yellow drapery in the background by listed Berkeley artist Marjorie Cathcart (American, 1918 - 2014). Circa 1964. Signed "Cathcart" lower right. Presented in a giltwood frame. Image, 30"H 40"L. Marjorie Cathcart held a Bachelor of Fine Arts at the University of California, Berkeley 1943, Studied with Lundy Seigrist, Catherine Hagen, Tom Holland and Anne O’Hanlon. Marin Society of Artists, San Francisco Women Artists. President Oakland Art Association. Exhibited; California State Art Exposition, Jack London Fair, 1st place at California State Fair 1967.
