Though this variant does not explicitly highlight the connection to the World's Fair, another similar design with text reveals the impetus for the poster. Ib Antoni (1929-1973) was a well known cartoonist, designer and poster artist not only in Denmark but also abroad, where he illustrated the renown Times and Life Magazine in the USA. He created approximately 300 posters in the twenty years of his career. He was commissioned by a wide range of clients such as FDB, Politiken, Carlsberg, Dyrup, Volvo, Danish Agriculture, Foreign Affairs, UNICEF and others. His posters for the Fair reflect his playful, "Naive" style, for which he is known and appreciated.
