Date: 1960's Size: 32.5 x 45.5 inches Artist: Reyn Dirksen About The Poster: Hook of Holland is a town in the southwestern corner of Holland, hence the name; hoek means "corner" and was the word in use before the word kaap – "cape", from Portuguese cabo – became Dutch. The English translation using Hook is a false cognate of the Dutch Hoek, but has become commonplace. This lovely and perfectly retro travel poster is by Reyn Dirksen, a well-known Dutch artist (1924-1999) - in very good condition and ready to frame. Rare.
